    Program

Post Production methods for feature film visual effects have changed drastically over the past several years. Location photography is scanned, if not captured digitally, and delivered electronically to the visual effects facility. Work in progress is reviewed digitally by both the visual effects artists and the films director. Following completion the visual effect shots are delivered to the client electronically in preparation for the digital intermediate process to ultimately be presented in a digital cinema theater.

This month's program will present an overview of the Media Systems workflow and a facilities tour of ILM's new 23-acre Presidio campus that makes it all possible.

Welcome: SMPTEsf welcomes members and friends to attend without charge. If you don't have a ticket, you will not be admitted to this meeting. No substitutions.
